The alleged United officials were actually pictured chatting to the agent, after being photographed at the Estadio BBVA Bancomer before Monterrey’s 1-0 defeat of Necaxa on Monday.Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to be keen on Rodriguez, who earned his first cap for Mexico back in March, after helping his side win the Central and North American version of the Champions League earlier this year.United are in desperate need of numbers to bolster their midfield after confirming Ander Herrera will be leaving the club this summer at the expiration of his contract. Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic have also been linked with summer exits from Old Trafford. That would leave Fred and Scott McTominay as the only recognised midfielders at the Norwegian’s disposal.Solskjaer has suggested there will be a big clear-out of his playing squad this summer, with big-name players such as Pogba, Anthony Martial and Romelu Lukaku all potentially facing the axe. There could be a recall for defender Axel Tuanzebe, who has impressed on loan at Aston Villa, however.
